Data exports from Fincome

How to extract your data in Excel format from Fincome? Several options are available: via the export center (if enabled in your workspace), from the tables under the charts (“stocks” and “main changes”), and from the underlying views (including custom reports).

1. Key points in 30 seconds

• Exports use the same datasets and calculation rules as your Analytics/Reports views. • Three main paths:

  1. Export center: a single point to trigger/schedule exports by data domain.

  2. Tables under the charts: granular extraction of stocks (levels at date) and main changes (movements over the period).

  3. Custom reports: automatic sharing and secure distribution at a defined frequency.

  • Exports are read-only and never modify your source systems.

2. Scope and definitions

  • Stocks : the level of an indicator at a given moment (e.g., MRR/ARR at date, number of active subscribers).

  • Main changes : breakdown of evolutions (e.g., new, reactivations, upsell, downsell, churn, currency effect).

  • Underlying views : detailed tables feeding the charts (movements, cohorts, retention, unit economics, etc.).

3. Prerequisites and access rights

  • Roles and permissions: access to exports can be limited by role. Ask your Fincome admin if an export is not visible.

  • Data quality: check that your business rules (churn, reactivation, price/volume, discounts, FX, ...) are aligned with your practices before exporting.

4. Export center

The export center groups ready-to-use datasets. You will notably find two exports of the entire customer base (including analytical axes) over the entire history available in Fincome for: – Recurring revenue: MRR/ARR (stocks) – MRR/ARR movements (new, reactivation, upsell, downsell, churn, FX) – [Coming soon] Recognized revenue: distinction between recurring vs. non-recurring revenue

5. Exporting from the tables under the charts

Each analytical chart is backed by a table:

  • Tab "Stocks": snapshot at date (e.g., MRR, ARR, active subscribers, ARPA…).

  • Tab "Main changes": detailed movement over the period (new/upsells/downsells/churn/reactivations/FX).

To use this data outside Fincome:

  • Refine the view (period, granularity, analytical segments).

  • Export the underlying table for audit, reconciliations, or ad hoc analyses.

Common use cases:

  • Preparation for executive/investor committees (monthly ARR bridge).

  • Audit of upsell by price vs. volume effect.

  • Churn analysis by segment, plan, channel, country.

  • Consistency check between MRR/ARR and recognized/collected revenue.

6. Formats and integrations

  • API & bulk exports: under construction.

  • Imports: to complement your analyses (e.g., monthly CACs), use the import capabilities (Excel/API) provided for this purpose.

7. Quick support

  • I don't see an expected export: check your role/permission and the configuration (source, segments, currency).

  • Discrepancies appear: check the period and the unit (MRR vs recognized revenue vs collected), then replicate the filter used in the chart view.

  • Volumes too large: segment by period/product/country, export in multiple batches.

8. FAQ

What datasets can I export? All data included in Fincome can be exported: MRR/ARR (stocks and movements), retention (NRR/GRR), cohorts, unit economics (ARPA/ACV, CAC, LTV, Payback), recognized revenue and collections. Availability depends on your configuration and permissions.

What is the difference between “stocks” and “main changes”? Stocks represent the level at time t (e.g., MRR/ARR at date). Main changes detail the movements over the period (new, reactivations, upsells, downsells, churn, currency effect).

Can I automate recurring exports? Soon possible via the export center (if enabled) and/or automatic sharing of custom reports. For machine-to-machine flows, use the export API (coming soon).

How to share exports with investors without opening the entire platform? Use a dedicated Custom Report with automatic sharing to a whitelist of emails. You retain control over the scope of data distributed.

How to reconcile MRR/ARR and recognized revenue? MRR/ARR measures recurring revenue at time t, while recognized revenue follows accounting logic (prorata, PCA, FAE). Both views are complementary.

What security guarantees apply to my exports? Encryption in transit/at rest, EU hosting, role-based access policy, backups and incident response procedures.

I want to feed my data warehouse: possible? Not yet, but the export API is coming soon.

10. Good governance practices

  1. Always version shared exports (naming and timestamp).

  2. Document the assumptions and filters used (country, currency, segments, exclusions).

  3. Align export periodicities with your rituals (closing, executive committee, board).

  4. Minimize distribution outside Fincome: favor controlled sharing.
