Data exports from Fincome

Export your Fincome data to a file for audits, reporting or analysis in Excel. This article shows where to find each export, what it contains and how to get the file that fits your need.

1. Key takeaways in 30 seconds

You can export your data from three places:

  • the Export center, in the Data menu: complete customer-by-customer files covering your whole history;
  • the download icon at the top right of every Analytics chart: the data of the view you are looking at;
  • custom reports: the data of a specific block in a report.

Exports use the same calculation rules as your Analytics views. They are read-only and never modify your source systems.

Columns are not configurable: each export contains all the information available for that dataset.

2. The Export center

How to access it

  1. In the left navigation bar, click Data.
  2. Scroll down to the Other section of the menu and click Export center.
  3. Click Receive export by email under the file you need. The file is sent to the email address of the user logged in to Fincome.

Content

MRR by customer by month

One customer per row, their MRR for each month in columns.

ARR by customer by month

One customer per row, their ARR for each month in columns.

MRR-ARR movements

One movement per row (new, churn, upsell, downsell or reactivation) and its impact on MRR.

CMRR by customer by month

One customer per row, their CMRR (Committed MRR) for each month in columns.

What the "per customer" exports contain

For each customer, you get:

  • identification details: customer ID, name, email, country, billing source;
  • their analytical dimensions (for example segment, company size, CRM ID), as configured in Fincome;
  • one column per month with the metric value (MRR, ARR or CMRR).

These exports cover your entire history in Fincome, including both active and churned customers.

Good to know: to keep only your active customers, filter the last month's column in Excel on values greater than 0.

3. Export from an Analytics view

Every Analytics view (MRR - ARR, MRR-ARR movements, Churn rate, Renewals, etc.) can be downloaded as you configured it.

  1. Open Analytics and pick the view you need in the left menu.
  2. Set the period with the date slider, then apply your filters or breakdown if needed.
  3. If the view offers it, choose the metric in the selector on the right (for example MRR or ARR).
  4. Click the download icon at the top right of the chart.

The export reflects exactly what you see: period, granularity, filters and breakdown.

Good to know: below each chart, the summary table shows the values per period. Click a value to open the underlying view and see the customer-level detail.

4. Export from a custom report

  1. Open the report in Reports.
  2. Click Edit to switch to edit mode.
  3. Find the chart or table you want to export.
  4. Click the Download icon to the right of the block.

The export follows the block's configuration (metric, period, filters, dimensions and granularity). This option is designed for one-off exports.

5. Which export for which need?

You are looking for

Where to go

Your customer list with their ARR month by month

Data > Export center > ARR by customer by month

The detail of new customers, churn, upsells and downsells

Data > Export center > MRR-ARR movements

Your customers' renewal dates

Analytics > Retention > Renewals, then the download icon (see Analyze renewals)

A view filtered on a segment, product or country

The matching Analytics view, filtered, then the download icon

The figures of a report shared with your board

The report block, in edit mode

Renewal dates are not included in the Export center files. To combine them with ARR, match both files in Excel on the customer ID.

6. FAQ

→ I can't find the Export center
It is located in Data, under Other, not in Analytics. If the Data menu does not appear in your navigation bar, your role does not give you access to it: contact an administrator of your workspace (see Manage roles).

→ Can I choose which columns to export?
No. Each export contains all available columns so you can use the data freely. Delete or hide the columns you don't need in Excel, Google Sheets or your BI tool. The column structure stays stable from one export to the next, which makes recurring analyses easier.

→ How do I get ARR instead of MRR?
In the Export center, choose ARR by customer by month. In an Analytics view, select ARR in the metric selector before clicking the download icon.

→ My export doesn't match the dashboard
Check that you are comparing the same month, the same metric (MRR, ARR, recognized revenue) and the same filters. Exports strictly follow your calculation options: churn recognition, discounts, credit notes, FX.

→ I didn't receive the export by email
Check your spam folder, then run the export again. If the issue persists, message us through the chat.

→ Can I automate recurring exports?
Not from the Export center yet. For regular analysis without manual exports, you can query your data directly from your LLM with the Fincome MCP.

→ How can I share data with investors without giving access to the whole platform?
Use a custom report and share it (see Share a report).
