Data exports from Fincome
Fincome offers several entry points to export your data in Excel or CSV format, depending on your need: financial audit, internal reporting, one-off analyses, or sharing with investors.
1. Key takeaways in 30 seconds
Fincome exports use the same datasets and calculation rules as your Analytics views and your reports.
Three locations let you export your data:
- the export center,
- the tables below the Analytics charts,
- the custom reports.
Exports are read-only and never modify your source systems.
The columns included in an export are not configurable: all available information is exported by default.
2. Scope and definitions
Stocks
Stocks represent the level of an indicator at a given moment. Examples: MRR or ARR to date, number of active subscribers, ARPA, ACV.
Main variations
The main variations correspond to the breakdown of changes over a given period. Examples: new customers, reactivations, upsells, downsells, churn, foreign exchange (FX) effect.
Underlying views
These are the detailed tables that feed Fincome's charts and analyses: MRR/ARR movements, cohorts, retention (NRR, GRR), unit economics (CAC, LTV, Payback), recognized revenue, etc.
3. Prerequisites and access rights
Roles and permissions
Access to exports depends on your role in Fincome. If an export option is not visible, check your permissions or contact an administrator of your workspace.
Consistency of settings
The exported data strictly reflects your Fincome settings:
- churn recognition rules,
- handling of discounts and credit notes,
- foreign exchange (FX) options,
- distinction between MRR / ARR / recognized revenue.
Before exporting, make sure these rules are aligned with your internal uses (finance, reporting, audit).
4. Where to export your data from Fincome?
Fincome provides several export points, each serving a different use.
4.1. The export center
The export center brings together ready-to-use datasets covering your entire customer base over the entire history available in Fincome.
You will find in particular:
- Recurring revenue – MRR / ARR (stocks) Customer-by-customer view, including analytical dimensions.
- MRR / ARR movements New, reactivations, upsells, downsells, churn, foreign exchange effect.
- [Coming soon] Recognized revenue Distinction between recurring and non-recurring revenue.
4.2. The tables below the Analytics charts
Each Fincome Analytics chart is backed by an exportable table.
Two tabs are available:
- Stocks: snapshot to date (MRR, ARR, active subscribers, ARPA…),
- Main variations: detail of the movements observed over the analyzed period.
Steps
- Configure your Analytics view (period, granularity, filters, segments).
- Open the table below the chart.
- Export the data for external analysis.
4.3. Custom reports
Fincome also lets you export data directly from a report, from the charts or tables it contains.
Steps
- Open the relevant report.
- Click Edit to switch to edit mode.
- Identify the chart or table to export.
- Click the Download icon to the right of the block.
- The data is exported in CSV format.
Good to know
- The export takes up exactly the block's configuration: metric, period, filters, analytical segments, and granularity.
- Only the blocks visible in the report can be exported.
- This option is designed for one-off exports, not massive ones.
5. Columns included in the exports
In Fincome, it is not possible to select the columns to include when exporting.
Each export deliberately contains all the information available for the dataset in question. The goal is to let you freely use the data downstream, without limiting uses from the export stage.
Recommended best practice After exporting, delete or hide the unnecessary columns directly in Excel, Google Sheets, or your BI tool.
The column structure is stable for a given export type, which makes recurring analyses and reconciliations easier.
6. Formats and integrations
- Available formats: Excel or CSV depending on the export point.
- API & bulk exports: under construction.
- Imports: possible via Excel or API to enrich your analyses (e.g. monthly CACs).
7. FAQ
→ I don't see an expected export
Check your role, your permissions, and the configuration (source, segments, currency).
→ Discrepancies appear in the figures
Check the period, the unit (MRR vs recognized revenue vs collected), and the applied filters.
→ Volumes too large
Segment by period, product, or country, then export in several batches.
→ Can I choose the columns to export?
No. Fincome exports all available columns. You can then adapt the file in your working tool.
→ Can I automate recurring exports?
Soon, via the export center and the automatic sharing of custom reports. An export API is also planned.
→ How can I share data with investors without opening up the whole platform?
Use a dedicated custom report with controlled sharing.
